[Chelsea Cutler] Your Shirt

Image
[Keep it on] Mixing it up with this one. It oscillates in and out, high and low until the end. Such a good song for really really long rainy drives. YOUR SHIRT

[Katelyn Tarver] You Don't Know

Image
[Me and you, back here - Cape Schanck] YOU DON'T KNOW

[Daughter] Youth

Image
[Good vibes] No hooks, no choruses, almost flat throughout. YOUTH

[Matt Maeson] Cringe

Image
[If you knew, you'd say fuck you too] He lets his voice takes center stage. This raw version, as compared to the original, is so much more easier to listen to. Usually when the instruments are this soft, it is so easy to try too hard. But there's a really nice balance here. CRINGE

[Dean Lewis] Need You Now & Lose My Mind

Image
[Until you hate them] Couldn't decide on one. Didn't think they'd be good enough for a single post, so here's both of them. NEED YOU NOW LOSE MY MIND

[Lauren Aquilina] Fools

Image
[These pillars aren't strong] FOOLS

[Foster The People] Sit Next To Me

Image
[We can be weird together] SIT NEXT TO ME

[Tom Walker] Fly Away With Me

Image
[atelophobia] This song is as snappy as it gets. His raspy voice is really comforting. The music video is really inspiring as well.  FLY AWAY WITH ME .

[Angus & Julia Stone] Chateau

Image
[Deep down, we're all just kids so just f*ck it] I'll take you anywhere, everywhere.  CHATEAU .

[Snowmine] Let me in

Image
[I'll watch from afar] I have no idea what he's singing about and I don't really care. Live the moment cause we ain't forever. LET ME IN .

[Lewis Capaldi] Bruises

Image
[Keep your hands to yourself] The start is pretty similar to Hozier's 'Take Me To Church' albeit at a much slower pace and with much less pop. The verse sets the stage for the chorus oh so perfectly. He sings about water getting colder and he probably means that life is getting much less vibrant since his 'lover left'.  BRUISES .

[Bastille] World Gone Mad

Image
[I don't want to be here to make somebody with you] Bastille has always had an amazing voice and it still shows whenever he performs. He's the pioneer in alternating between a high and low note during drags and you hear it in almost all his songs. It is so iconic.  WORLD GONE MAD .

[Oliver Riot] Ivory Black

Image
[A morning of awkwardness is far better than a night of loneliness] A quiet one here. It builds up really really slowly. And that's exactly how it should be.  IVORY BLACK .

[Electric Guest] Dear To Me

Image
[The whole world revolves around you] This is my happy song. Makes the world a little more bearable. Let it take you back to those carefree days. DEAR TO ME .

[NF] Let you down

Image
[Be your own friend] It has a trance-like feel. A good mix of two genres.  LET YOU DOWN .

[Peter Manos] In My Head

Image
[Don't stop] It starts strong, pulls you in and never lets you leave. Perfect for long rainy drives.  IN MY HEAD .

[The Weeknd] False Alarm

Image
[sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep] Messy and clean when it matters.  FALSE ALARM .

[Dean Lewis] Waves

Image
[To touch someone and be touched in return] It hits you hardest when you're looking the other way.  WAVES .

[Flora Cash] You're Somebody Else

Image
[Smoke and mirrors] YOU'RE SOMEBODY ELSE .

[A R I Z O N A] Cross My Mind

Image
[I burn through the night thinking of you] I am sure everyone who has ever been in love can relate to the desperation in his voice. It is trying to pull you, pull you back to his side.  CROSS MY MIND.

[Portugal. The Man] Feel It Still

Image
[Not meant to be] The singer's a guy.  The treble wraps around  his voice so well.  FEEL IT STILL.

[Vancouver Sleep Clinic] Someone to stay

Image
[The hike is difficult and the fall, effortless] Just be you. Believe yourself, not me. Don't wait for  SOMEONE TO STAY .

[Andy Grammer] Spaceship

Image
[Fly far, far, far away from here] Once in awhile you'll find an awfully underrated song. It's all fine though, cause you want to keep it all for yourself.  SPACESHIP .

[BANNERS] Start A Riot

Image
[With integrity, you do what is right] Listen carefully. For you, we would  START A RIOT .

[Finding Hope] Love

Image
[Seduire] Chasing after  LOVE

[Fazerdaze] Lucky girl

Image
[Barely scratching on the surface] Sometimes I wonder whether there's a need for human interaction. And sometimes I wonder whether there's a lack for it. You can hear her singing that she's a lucky girl. But listen closer and you can tell she has this dull and mundane tone. Does she believe it? Or is she trying to convince herself that she's a  Lucky Girl ?

[Bon Iver] I Can't Make You Love Me

Image
[The things we can't see are most often there] People live for themselves. Each and everyone, unique. We all flow at different speeds. No two same accumulated intention and thoughts can exist in a room. Sometimes  I can't make you love me .

Of Monsters And Men - Empire

Image
What you love doing will always pull you back towards it one way or another. We are all living in a made up fantasy. Freedom within cages, trying to break out of our own shells. Here's  Empire , a song I interpret as passing along whatever it is that makes us special, forward.
